[EDIT 2]
Sorry for no updates yesterday >.>
When we weighed him yesterday he'd put on another 2.5grams, not as much as before but its still a good thing ^^ As you can probably tell from the photos I got this morning, his eyes are bigger, he's got more feathering, and hes just grown a little in general :3 Thank you to everyone who is showing concern

Everyone, say hello to 'Jack the Sparrow'
[link]I love him, hes all like 'GET IN MAH BELLEH O:'
[link]My dad found him on his back in a drain yesterday afternoon and brought him inside. Usually baby birds are dead when they fall out of the nest, so we were amazed to find this little guy alive and well, and surprisingly with no injuries, considering he fell from our roof xD
The fact is, he would have died if we'd have left him, either from the cold or by the bazillion cats near our house. So he's with us now, being hand reared.
He's only a nestling, so I'm guessing hes about a week old give or take. For the first day we just gave him sugar dissolved in warm water, but now hes onto cat kibble soaked in hot water, mashed together with egg yolk xD And he's kept nice and warm :3
I'm so surprised he survived the night, I only got 2 hours sleep because i woke up and couldn't drift off again *shrugs* Ah well, at least hes alright. But i know for a while I'm going to be expecting to find a dead bird on a morning ): All i can do is try right?
Anyone got any tips on looking after orphaned birds? x:
